Coloring provides more than just a nice piece of art
The significant benefits of coloring pages are now being realized for all age groups as it takes its place alongside yoga and meditation as an enjoyable way to improve physical and mental wellbeing. As much as I know that coloring is such a mindful activity - research shows it has very similar benefits of meditation (with a nice piece of art as a byproduct!) - I’m still surprised to see how much kids of all ages ask to do it.
For younger kids, we also see it as a great opportunity to practice their breathing, while for older ones, coloring gives them a chance to relax and refocus - especially when it’s of a picture they can relate to. And remember, mindful coloring isn’t just for kids! It’s a great way for adults to wind down as well. Below are a few pages we found to get you started. Enjoy!
